Large G&T Molecules
I enlarged some molecules from a gin and tonic using a pair of tweezers, a microwave, and some socks that I had to throw away afterwards. And this is what they look like. Pretty tasty.

Lexico-entropy
This sign reminds of the book, Ella Minnow Pea, where letters just stop existing and cease to be used in the narrative.

Richard Serra Tripleheader!
I went to the Richard Serra show today in the Gagosian, it's very good. Serra is the bloke who did the big slabs outside of Liverpool Street station, and there is an excellent bendy thing of his in the Bilbao Guggenheim too. It was quite good for taking photos too.

Seizure
If you are anywhere near Southwark I recommend an art-thing called Seizure by a chap called Roger Hiorns. Essentially he found a condemned council house and filled it up with copper sulphate solution for 2 weeks. Then he drained it out leaving everything coated in brilliant blue crystals. They are hard and scaly and it's a bit like being trapped inside a dinosaur. Anyway, do go, it's free and it all gets knocked down very soon.

Really sorry and all
My home internet has been down for SIX WEEKS. Before I went away on holiday, it was down. I had a three week mountaineering circuit of madness in Bolivia, got back. IT WAS STILL DOWN. Got over jetlag and easing myself back into work. INTERNET STILL DOWN.
Just tonight the internet has come back, so here's my favourite photo from my holiday. I took this pretty much by accident, not even looking through the viewfinder, which probably certifies that I'm a shit photographer, or just lucky at best. Oh well. I'll settle for that.

Non-scheduled downtime
Dear readers - I'm sorry that not many photos have been appearing here of late, my home internet has gone down. Going back to 1988 has actually been pretty dire and I have had to start reading books and having conversations again, it's a bit much.
Anyway, I've now managed to take myself off to sunny La Paz where they DO have internet, so I can browse random Charlton websites to my heart's content. There might be some photos of llamas in a few weeks time as well!

Hackney Ghost
Someone found this blog a while ago by searching for Large Hadrian Collider, which I find very appealing.

Antwerp Central
Antwerp Centraal Station is the bollocks. The station was finished in 1905, and they got the Olympics in 1920. Alcoholism may have been an invitation sport.
It's inconceivable that something as ambitious would be built today. But in 1905 King Leopold II still personally owned the Congo - an area, Wikipedia helpfully tells me, 76 times larger than Belgium. It made me think of Samuel Johnson's descriptions of the pyramids in Rasselas:
"I consider this mighty structure [the pyramid] as a monument to the insufficiency of human enjoyments. A king, whose power is unlimited, and whose treasures surmount all real and imaginary wants, is compelled to solace, by the erection of a Pyramid, the satiety of dominion and tastelessness of pleasures, and to amuse the tediousness of declining life, by seeing thousands laboring without end, and one stone, for no purpose, laid upon another. Whoever thou art that, not content with a moderate condition, imaginest happiness in royal magnificence, and dreamest that command or riches can feed the appetite of novelty with perpetual gratifications, survey the Pyramids, and confess thy folly."

Scheduled Downtime
Dear readers -
I am going to be walking along the canal from London to Birmingham over the next few days. So there probably won't be any updates. Do check back around the 20th of April for lots of exciting images of teenagers drinking cider in Berkhampstead or perhaps a dead swan if you are really lucky.

Sharmahand
Chris Sharma is maybe the best climber there's ever been. This is one of his hands -check out the ridiculous musculature on even his little finger. His hands are so strong he probably has to wear special lead gloves when cleaning his teeth, to prevent himself accidentally shattering his own mouth.
